Description

Scalloped Green Turquoise Ring 6.5

A large oval green turquoise cabochon in a three-layer concentric silver setting — rope-twist inner bezel, dark oxidized shadow-box plate, and scalloped outer border — on a split shank band with flared shoulders. This is the most architecturally complete ring in the collection: three distinct silver elements stacked concentrically around the stone, each serving a different function and adding a different texture, so the full setting reads as a composed piece of silversmithing rather than a stone in a frame. The rope-twist wire bezel sits directly against the stone; a flat oxidized silver plate creates a dark recessed shadow between the bezel and the outer edge; and a continuous scalloped border — shallow rounded lobes running the full perimeter of the oval — frames the composition with the most recognizable motif in Southwestern silver design. The stone is vivid bright green with a complex multi-tone matrix: warm golden-tan patches and white veining threading through the green ground in an organic, painterly pattern. Rich, saturated, visually active at close range, and large enough to fill the full setting face without the eye wanting anything more. Please note that stone color and matrix pattern will vary from piece to piece — each ring is one of a kind. Size 6.5.

Key Details

  • Stone | Turquoise | Single Upright Oval Cabochon | Vivid Bright Green | Complex Multi-Tone Matrix — Warm Golden-Tan Patches and White Veining | Rich, Saturated, Painterly Stone Character | Natural Stone — Color and Matrix Vary Per Piece | Each Ring One of a Kind | Authentic Natural Stone
  • Setting Construction | Three Concentric Layers:
    • Inner Layer: Rope-Twist Wire Bezel Running Full Perimeter of Stone
    • Middle Layer: Flat Oxidized Silver Shadow-Box Plate — Dark Recessed Band Between Bezel and Outer Border
    • Outer Layer: Scalloped Border — Continuous Shallow Rounded Lobes Running Full Perimeter of Oval | Dark Oxidized Finish
  • Metal | Sterling Silver | Dark Oxidized Finish on Shadow-Box Plate and Scalloped Border | Rope-Twist Bezel at Inner Setting Edge | Split Shank Band with Flared Shoulders
  • Size | Size 6.5 | Fixed — Not Adjustable
  • Setting Scale | Large | Full Setting Approximately ¾ to 1 Inch Tall | Largest Setting Face in Collection | Statement Ring Proportions
  • Care Instructions | Store in a dry, cool place away from direct sunlight | Avoid contact with water, perfume, and lotions | Polish gently with a soft silver cloth on the band and flared shoulders | Avoid harsh polishing on the scalloped border and rope-twist bezel — the dark oxidized finish in the shadow-box plate and scallop recesses gives the setting its depth and layered character; it should be preserved | Use a soft-bristle brush to gently clean between the rope-twist ridges and the shadow-box edge if tarnish accumulates | Avoid harsh chemicals on the turquoise stone

Styling Suggestions

  • Wear alone — the three-layer setting at approximately one inch tall is a complete composition on its own; stacking companion rings would compete with the scalloped border and reduce rather than enhance the impact of the piece
  • Wear on the middle or ring finger of the right hand where the full oval setting sits centered on the finger and the scalloped border extends slightly beyond the finger width on both sides — the traditional placement for a Southwestern statement ring of this proportion
  • Style with solid warm earth tones — rust, camel, chocolate, burnt sienna — where the warm golden-tan matrix in the stone pulls from the same color palette as the fabric and the vivid green reads as a saturated contrast anchor
  • Wear with dark denim or black — against dark backgrounds the vivid green stone and the dark oxidized silver frame read with maximum contrast and the scalloped border detail is clearest at a distance
  • Pair with a plain silver cuff or bangle on the same wrist — the ring is visually complete on its own and a simple, undecorated bracelet on the same arm keeps the focus on the ring without competing with its layered setting detail
  • Gift as the centerpiece ring for a serious turquoise collection — the scalloped shadow-box setting is a classic of Navajo and Pueblo silversmithing tradition, and a large vivid-green stone in this format is a meaningful, collectible piece at any price point

Fit & Sizing

  • Size 6.5 | Fixed — not adjustable | Confirm your ring size before purchasing
  • Half sizes: if you are between sizes 6 and 7, a 6.5 will fit true to a standard half-size measurement
  • To measure: wrap a soft tape measure or strip of paper around the base of the finger you plan to wear this ring on | Mark where the ends meet | Measure in millimeters | Compare to a ring size chart
  • Split shank band with flared shoulders | More substantial band construction than slim split shank rings | Setting extends approximately ¾ to 1 inch above the finger | Ensure the setting height is comfortable for your hand proportions before purchasing
